On this page, you will find an analysis of the recently "cold" PowerBall numbers. A number is cold if in the past six months it has demonstrated a tendency towards not winning in streaks. By analyzing the number of days between each number's win, it's possible to look for a historical tendency towards winning in clumps. Some players believe it beneficial to not play these numbers after they've recently won.

This historical analysis spans the current PowerBall configuration with 123 drawings spanning from January 7, 2009 through the drawing on March 10, 2010. The six month interval covers December 10, 2009 through March 10, 2010. Herein, the five numbers with the widest timespans of winning are arranged sequentially for your speculation. Whenever a number's frequency of appearance sets it outside of the norm (90% confidence interval), it's standard of deviation is included in the analysis.

NOTE: Remember, the historical occurence of numbers is NO GUARANTEE of continued performance or future occurence. The mathematical odds of winning the PowerBall jackpot are still 1 in 23,429,886,480.
