On this page, you will find an analysis of the recently "cold" PowerBall numbers. A number is cold if in the past three months it has demonstrated a tendency towards not winning in streaks. By analyzing the number of days between each number's win, it's possible to look for a historical tendency towards winning in clumps. Some players believe it beneficial to not play these numbers after they've recently won.

This historical analysis spans the current PowerBall configuration with 173 drawings spanning from January 7, 2009 through the drawing on September 1, 2010. The three month interval covers June 1, 2010 through September 1, 2010. Herein, the five numbers with the widest timespans of winning are arranged sequentially for your speculation. Whenever a number's frequency of appearance sets it outside of the norm (90% confidence interval), it's standard of deviation is included in the analysis.

NOTE: Remember, the historical occurence of numbers is NO GUARANTEE of continued performance or future occurence. The mathematical odds of winning the PowerBall jackpot are still 1 in 23,429,886,480.
