Practical Usage	Can be used while frustrated, and in some cases is even more offensive than swearing with "foda-se" (also listed here). E.g. You stub your toe and say "Ai, caralho!". Can be combined with "foda-se" to emphasize ("foda-se caralho!").

Practical Usage	The literal translation of bastard is "bastardo" but it's not used as an insult, it only. The closest translation is "escroto" but it's not as offensive as the english version.

Practical Usage	an insult meaning bitch, or asshole. Very offensive. It can also be used for someone who has done you wrong.(VERY OFFENSIVE) Ela é uma cabra. (She's a bitch) Seu cabrão! (You asshole!(literally man-bitch)) Not popular at all in Brazil. They woudn't even understand the meaning. Although "Cabra macho" (kabra maashu) means courageous guy.

Practical Usage	Puta is whore, Merda is shit. Puta que Pariu is a shortened version of another insult dealing with your whore mother. When you're impressed with something. Example: You see a big lost city, in the middle of nowhere. You say: «Holy shit!» (putamerda! or puta que pariu!) Also used to express frustration.

Literally	go to the whore that birthed you
Practical Usage	Although it literally is an insult to one's mother, it is usually meant as both an alternative or complement to "filho da puta" [son of a whore(bitch)] or as a way to tell someone to fuck off. It is a regular use insult, although a grave one, so it's usage is widespread in terms of situation
